Took son to be picked up at lyme services M6 then drove back home rather than him leaving the 90 at lyme services all day then ordered a new steering shaft and ball joints as it feels like driving a series on the motorway and everything else has just been done Graham

Another job done before the MoT in a couple of weeks. Had a look round the fluid levels a couple of days ago and noticed some play in the UJ's on the steering column, so today a new lower column assembly came in the post and out I went to fit it. It's amazing that when the old one was on the motor there seemed to be no end of play in the upper joint but when I got it off it didn't seem too bad, new one fitted and I'll see how much difference it makes on the school run this afternoon.
On a high note, my Eberspacher is working like a good 'un after I cleaned out the gauze filter on the inlet side of the pulse pump, so much quicker in firing up now and the pump seems a little quieter. |

Took the headlining out and put in some thermal/soundproofing insulation.
Hopefully the last time I take my headlining out as it is such a pain in the butt job to do. Had some (very limited) help from the dog who made it his business that whenever I was cutting the sheet of insulation on the floor it needed sniffing or the side of my face needed licking, or a ball dropped on it so we can go play again. Love him Then made a start on lining out the rear loadspace with the same. Just need to do the bulkhead and doors and we should have a much quieter and warmer (not to mention less condensation) 110 Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

Took the interior rear side panels off the Tdci SW to enable me to put the two nuts, that have been rattling around behind the trims for the last couple of months, back on the side panel retaining bolts.
Couldn't find the loctite so I am sure I will be repeating the process soon Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

custom90steve - that's right, dinitrol for the chassis and cf50 and other things for the body - he did the full works, following the water ingress manual etc.
