I thought it would nicely pass under the radar, as it mainly rudely cold tonight and she doesn't do cold, ( temps that is ) but lo and behold , midway through , she brought me a cuppa out and it suddenly dawned on me that replacing the bulbs probably wouldn't explain what looks to be 4 headlights on a matt at the front of the landy.
So evasive action was taken , intercepting the tea delivery , and casting the work area into darkness by turning my head ( and head torch ) straight into her eyes , with a swift "thanks darling " . Momentarily blinded , she about turned and went back inside, chuntering something about the temperature, and why didn't I just wait till Sunday to fit the "bulbs " Mission completed, or at least until one of my sons comes in to the house and exclaims how totally amazing my new lights look |

As requested by another member , here are some pictures showing the dark chrome finish.
I really do like them, they are much less in your face and really tone down the front end, especially against the grey. Also with them being so perfectly clear they actually look as expensive as they are When I had my halogens in, the led sidelights made them look really yellow, as the sidelights were ( so I thought ) bright white . Now having the Noldens on, they actually make the sidelights look less white Still not had chance to play in the dark, though with poor light late this afternoon, they actually lit up the scenery, where previously , I would not have registered my lights being turned on. Just fitted mine this morning. Also dark chrome - they look excellent with corris grey (IMHO) - really modernising the front end but in a super descreet way.
Thanks Brendan for the excellent (group buy) price, the super quick delivery and the advice on the phone. Just a quick question to the wise - as I was packing stuff away after finishing the job; I realised I still had the rubber seals of the regular lights on the back of the now not fitted regular lights. Should I have fitted this to the back of the noldens? Common sense says not as it is to seal up the normal filament bulb holder and the noldens are fully sealed units without it but OCD says check. Cheers |

I knew we had not fitted the rubber collars to our Noldens but could not remember the reason why. So apologies for delay in replying but had to get the original rubber boot and a Nolden light.
Simple answer they do not fit onto the back of the headlight so all they would do is dangle off the headlight cable. They certainly would not do anything for the Ingress Protection rating as it is already IP6K9K the highest ones for LED headlights. So common sense was right and a tick for your OCD Brendan |

you mean you are a lightweight fanny as well Some stealth purchases just need to be kept that way as it is just too tedious trying to explain / justify why |
