It is possible but NOT easy especially if you want to retain the tdci instruments as you will need a special interface to get instruments to work correctly as some functions are on CAN. |

Our dash is all in and working apart from the instrument cluster. We are having trouble with the electrics that were CAN fed rev counter engine light glow plug light charge light and temp gauge. As I said in my earlier post we have tried various company's suggested by different people on various forums. They all promised but never came up with the goods. So if you find away around this problem I will be very interested in how.
Also there is the issue with the gear lever we used a disco 2 gearbox took a bit of cutting and welding with the lever to clear the heater. Then we custom made the gearbox tunnel to suit the gear levers. Phil |

I'm probably in the minority, but I prefer the Td5 dash to the Tdci one... I like the simplicity and that it isn't so bulky. The controls are all in easy to find, functional places. If it ain't broke and all that.... and I also wouldn't want to lose my flap controls!

Killer we went for a disco two box so the high an low lever was cable driven sat that next to the gear lever. Also had to re work the front of the seat box due to the gear lever coming right in the front of it.Don't have any measurements just cut fibre glassed made up brackets as we went along then packed it off to the trimmers. As I said just cannot get the clocks to work.

Hello just flicking through and thought I'd add my bit
My 300 Tdi has a Tdci full bulkhead and I opted for a disco gearbox Didn't use the gauges and instead made my own mount for manual gauges and just added a couple of wires I'll add pics soon |

Can't seem to add photos?
Find it on Landy zone though It's been done for over 2 years now Didn't see the point complicating the dash with ecu stuff on a simple 300 Tdi |
