think they only charge when your running , so think I would leave it and try it in maybe a few days time ( depending on how much you use the defender ) just try disconnecting the main battery after a few days

Yes, it should recharge pretty quickly in normal use. I suggest that after a few of days of normal running you set the alarm off and check that the BBUS makes a noise. If it doesn't, replace it and present the installer with the bill.

They didn't say exactly, but reckoned it was about 10-15 minutes. 2013 Defender 110 XS DCPU

^^^ that's interesting, as last time I disconnected my battery I couldnt stop the alarm going off despite using the correct sequence for battery disconnecting. After a few (2-3 mins) the alarm stopped, I just assumed the sequence finally worked, but perhaps the BBUS just ran out of juice.
I guess the battery in there has a limited lifespan..? Cheers Simon |

Isnt there some ruling that alarms are only allowed to go off for a set time ,
