How do you check the oil level?
You can not use the filling hole like a level check, but you must discharge the old oil and refill the gearbox with the predetermined quantity..... Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition IID Pro MV License |

Also if you did fill to level at the wrong plug it could be seriously overfilled

If it has gone, I assume you can't see leak, have you checked transfer box level?
But as above, filler plug is not the fill level. Andy |

No way for it to get in to transfer box
if the output shaft seal leaks it will leak in to adaptor casing between main box and transfer box and the adaptor/extension casing has a drain hole as its a dry casing ( where the spline is that wears ) , so oil would leak on to ground |
