Just had mine put on yesterday and it's take a few miles to get used to but with the 110 being a 1.66 box and the disco being 1.22 the lack of screaming gearboxes is lovely for your ears Mr. Green hopefully I might get a few more mpg too.

1.6 in My 110 Whistle I've only done 40/50 miles but it's a lot quieter drive and all the bit swap over easy Thumbs Up

What was it doing with a 1.6 box? Must have been fun on the motorway!

What was involved in the end then, did they just swap the gears into your existing box?

Yeah, with the 1.6 on the way too and from France this year I didn't like taking it over 65 as it just felt uncomfortable and any faster you could see the fuel gauge going down Shocked it's so much quieter driving around town but I haven't had time to stretch its legs yet so I'll report back when I've had a decent run, and on mpg difference. Mine used to be a rocket setting off but it's takes a bit more revs now which is what I've been getting used to, but I suppose it's to be expected going from 1.6 to 1.2.

We swapped over the front drive flange, rear output casing, shaft flange etc complete and the difflock linkage/tower which all took around 20 mins (thanks for the info fat boy slim Thumbs Up ) just use good sealer to stick them back together. Mine was having the DMF and clutch done anyway so it made sense to put it on at the same time although this meant I didn't have the time to refurb the box. But touch wood it seems to be ok.
