WD40 maybe, work on small areas with something that definitely is NON abrasive.
Keep checking as you go that do damage is created just in case but it should come off fine with patience. Don't be too rough and the the WD40 have a few mins to activate. I can't see why it wouldn't work. Afterwards give it a normal clean off /wash to get residue and oil off. |

They have sprayed under front and rear arches. it has only sprayed up the back though. imagine around the filler cap.
looking underneath it looks like a neat and tidy job, not wet but tacky, rubs off on my finger. to be honest I'm not sure how waxoyl should be as this is a first. I'm half tempted to make it their problem and tell them to come and clean it up properly but thought i would check here first. I had a few warranty issues / recall on an intercooler hose and just thought i would use the genuine dealer for the first service. |

Does waxoyl actually dry completely hard or is it just a tacky finish? |

It kinda never dries, ever,it stays slightly wet in order for it to "spread" over stone chips/damage,etc. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

#2 for white spirit on a micro fibre cloth, and then immediately wash the car with a good quality wash and wax. Try the white spirits on a small hidden bit first but it hasn't effected my paint where I used it DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

Is it Waxoyl or some other wax product? Whatever, I've rustproofed enough vehicles to be able to say pretty much all of them will come off with a mild solvent such as white spirit, turps, petrol, diesel etc on a soft cloth. Always test on a discreet area first and don't be tempted to rub too hard as this can scratch the paint / lacquer. Don't smoke! Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |
