2008 at 44000, one clutch change (the inner spline had begun to work free and was causing a thudding sound when changing gear as well as a metallic rattling sound). Editor of FunRover - One blog. Read it!

With a rattly clutch, but not completely failed (i.e. still driveable), once replaced how would you describe the drive - massive improvement or not noticeable.
Also, did you take the opportunity to have the intermediate drive to transfer box inspected / replaced? Cheers Andy To answer sure my own question, its a massive improvement, in fact the backlash in the drive train can hardly be felt Cheers Andy Last edited by ROBBONTHEROCK on 1st Jul 2017 7:43am. 2008 90 SW with 75000kms no clutch change in paperwork but sometimes particularly when warm very rattling in neutral. Perhaps I consider soon to do a change myself and also other jobs of opportunity.

Clutch replaced on my truck (XS 110, 07MY);
1st clutch replaced under warranty (circa 2008); 2nd clutch replaced June 17 (78k); Replaced with clutch fix kit and new modified clutch hydraulics, all parts supplied by IRB. Old Clutch:- Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge PS Old clutch was fitted in 2008 and his marked as such, also output adapter shaft had no grease, it wasn't badly rusted but showing signs of it starting to rust (78k miles).
