Not yet, but the I have had dealings with the chap that supplies them. I could try and approach him for a forum buy? He's a good fella.

I put one on about 2 weeks ago.
Makes for a lovely sharp shift. However, I had a rattle in 3rd and 4th before fitting, but this has amplified it ten fold, 3rd and 4th rattle like crazy when booted. I get the feeling the nylon bush may be the cause, but I couldn't get the original out to put the new one in, though there's stick slack in the from the slickshift ball, so I believe it will still rattle slightly! Also consider that the lever is higher and the top row (1st, 3rd and 5th) are much further away to reach and the gear lever is very close to the fascia. I keep clouting my double din radio with my knuckles, but you get used to it. Fortunately I have long arms, but if you're one of these uneven people with long legs but short arms it might take a bit of rearranging and getting used to! Smart bit of kit for the money though! Whilst you're in there you may as well set the bias springs up tight again to otherwise it'll always be slack! |

I wonder could the angle of the lever be altered to move away from dash ?

To be honest, with a standard radio there should be enough room without bashing it (and after a few weeks I've almost adapted so no longer do). It's only because I have the double din and it's just sort of perched in there at the moment.
In terms of reach, the arm could easily be bent more with the correct tools and enough heat! It's only a bent bit of rod. So just increase the bend angle. How that effects the feel, I couldn't comment. I'm sure you'd be fine to a certain point. |

Hi, I'm in for a group buy, have tried contacting them via the website and phone, left my number for a call back but had no joy yet, the stick looks like it has quite an angle on so I'm surprised it's catching the radio, do you think this could be an issue with a MUD consul fitted?

Sorry to hijack the thread, but what exactly is that rattle? I have just had a reconditioned Ashcroft box fitted and the rattle still remains. It is driving me crazy and I would love to fix it whilst I still have some holiday left! 2002 110 td5 |

tazmarkuk,
I'll get some snaps tomorrow showing where the stick now sits. As a rough guess, I would imagine the Mud Console would be ok (My TD5 has the OEM centre, which is very similar). A Raptor dash however might cause issue! I'll get some snaps when I jump in, in the morning! --- Jimb1978, I've not investigated this to much just yet as I've not had chance, but there's a nylon/plastic bush that the lower ball of the shift lever goes into. To me it sounds like this balls rattling inside there. I've not yet delved into it, but with yours being a recon, I'd of thought they'd of changed this? I have a new bush in the cubby, so I'll get a pic of that to (I couldn't get my old one out to change it)! How 'snatchy' is your 3rd and 4th? |

Hi Jimb1978 have you adjusted the bias springs up, if these are not adjusted correctly the stick will be loose so contributes to the rattle, mine rattled after a gearbox overhaul, didn't replace plastic bush, just made sure adjustments made on bias springs and all gone, I would recommended changing the bush if you.
Place your gear stick in 3rd gear, can you then move the stick slightly side to side, if you can, the bias springs need adjusting |

Mine rattle like fury, but my bias springs are nice and tight, no side to side movement!
The back and forth movement though, which obviously has no adjustment! I'm thinking it's this! Just taken some pics so will upload them in a sec (though I couldn't find the bush). |
