Watching this thread with great interest and looking forward to seeing this project at the end. Great job, just wish I had the space to do the work I need to my 110 and perhaps the knowledge that you have. So many ideas pop into my head on what i would like to do!!

Ken you know me too well
Honestly though we are so busy at work I don't know my arse from my elbow, good thing of cause but this means the Longshanks build takes back seat Anyways here is a pic following a day on it yesterday. Got the rear arches and trim either side fitted, along with the bumper. I'm taking back into the body shop later today as I have rejected their spray job, there are places that they have missed, you can see the sanding marks in the paint and there are runs all over Click image to enlarge |

Was it the same paintshop that did J-Lo, or a different one? If the same, what went wrong?!
It certainly looks good from a distance! |

Awesome
Looks good from a distance and colour match seems spot on, but you are the one that can see it up close. Nothing more frustrating than a body shop cutting corners, or making a dogs dinner of things, hope you get it resolved with them If i end up with my 130 looking a fraction as good as Longshanks i will be a happy man |

Different paint shop, the paint shop that did J-Lo struggled with the size of the vehicle and told me they could not do another. When they sprayed J-Lo they had to remove the wheels and push the vehicle into the spray booth on trolley jacks So just got back from the paint shop and the manager totally agrees with me and went nuts, could not believe that the vehicle was allowed to go out in the condition it did. He has agreed to re paint it This is one of the issues, you could probably light a match on this bit. Click image to enlarge |

Ken you are spot on they were struggling with the heat when they were painting the truck, they said exactly what you have mentioned. They also said that they were having to use slow cure lacquer.
