Depends if you have rear passengers or not, if you don't I wouldn't bother.
Also worth besting in mind that the tweeters should get to close to the ears as they are extremely loud. If the are close not only is there the hearing side of things but you'll mainly just hear the highs. Just depends on the fitting location. |

When played loud and long 2 way speakers cannot keep up with the hi's and fade. The crossover is generally a couple of small resistors mounted near the tweeter, which quickly heat up and can't cope.Top end 2 ways have a separate cross over the same as components I have 5" compo's in the rear, but they are matching the fronts. IMHO Splitting the tweeter fom the woofer would I think make it sound strange, especially when your loaded |

Would a Kenwood DNX7250DAB - 7.0" WVGA, Navigation System with built-in Bluetooth & DAB+ tuner from car audio direct fit into a TuneMyDefender fascia?
Any help is appreciated and advice on any other double dins would be useful. (Must be compatible with iPhone 5c) Cheers |

Yes it will fit if the dash is 2 / double DIN and that HU is too. (I've just checked)
You would probably be best off to fit a double DIN Kenwood cage too for security etc. Should be a very nice unit. |

Back of the cubby box if you have one, failing that in that area.
Try and avoid putting it under anything or it'll just be muffled and also not very good for cooling. |

Its the fear of drilling holes in my nice new cubby box, however I suppose i could get a frame made for the amp. sub and attach that!!

Anyone doing anything interesting lately regarding their audio?
I've just been looking at the Kenwood 2 DIN range of HU's seems like across the board there has been a slight price cut. For a TOTR HU and 2 DIN dash it would still set you back a whopping £1100 £1200. Having said that you'd have everything in one unit inc DAB.. |

The question is is there anything interesting out there worth buying?
I think my stock LR stereo is giving up the ghost. CDs skip or stop randomly. Radio crackles like hell - I've changed the aerial to an amplified one, still crackles Have ordered the Bosch Autoflex so will see if that helps Else I might be in the market for a new head unit. And I might just add an amp and some speakers whilst I'm at it |

Kmac - Sorry I appear to have overlooked this post of yours but I saw some of the aerial posts you put up.
How did you get on with that? CD's skipping, to be honest imo in a Defender your best off with a mechless HU or simply not use CD's as the vibration is too violent to take it. I'd recommend memory stick or iPod / phone etc every time. _______________________________________________________ On a different note, I think I've found my true love: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/kicker-11s...-subwoofer I'm extremely tempted personally but by goodness THE PRICE! |

Was only in the market for a new HU as I thought something was wrong with the radio
However, now that I know the cause of the issue, I am making my own filters for all USB cables (satnav and dashcam) USB ports seem to be okay interference wise (I isolated each run and tested separately) |

Ah I see, at least you've found the issue and a cure which is the main thing.
