Hi,
I've read through all the topics I can find on this which have been hugely helpful (thank you all) but was after a bit of specific advice please... We have a 2001 TD5 110 - this engine has around 95k on it. Injector harness and no. 5 injector were replaced 6 months ago, then 4 weeks ago there was diesel in the oil which was traced to the injector seals so those were all replaced. However the diesel in the oil is still occurring and close inspection of the head has shown it is cracked above no 3. The engine has not had the easiest life - we done around 70k miles in the 3 years that we've owned it and we bought it with a Das-tek chip on it (which I'm sure has contributed to the issues!) So I've got a refurbished head from Ian at autotech in Cornwall and a full seal set. What else should I replace at the same time? We're currently living in Italy where the labour rates are low (and we have a good local non-franchise Landy shop) . In September it needs to move us and our lives (in the largest Ifor Williams box trailer) back across Europe without breaking down. On the flip side we were looking to chop it in for a TDCi anyway (with a long term aim to then drop a 3.2 unit in) so don't really want to spend too much! Timing chain? Water pump? Piston rings? Thanks in advance, Beau |

Not much else to change really. I've not heard of a timing chain needing much attention.
The fuel pressure regulator wouldn't be a bad thing to change, especially as it's bolted to the head anyway... it'll stop any future leaks you will no doubt get. |

The one thing I forgot was a new copper washer for the chain tensioner. Oil widdled out for weeks until I changed it. It wasn't me!
