strange event
this morning while driving along a smooth straight road at 40 mph I appeared to suffer a complete power failure, it seemed to only be for a second or so perhaps, I glanced down to see the tacho dropping to zero, then it came back as if nothing had happened, I have never had anything like this before, for a moment I thought I'd imagined it but noticed the trip had re set to zero, all I know to do is check the battery connections which seem fine, can anyone advise where else I can look to resolve this because it will doubtless happen again, the truck is an 09 90 cheers Thumbs Up

Check the security of the earth connections from the battery, and also check that the relays under the driver's seat are secure in their sockets. It is a fairly common problem for the relays (the main power relay and starter relay) under the seat to become loose in their sockets, usually this causes starting problems but can also cause the symptoms you describe. They should be a pretty tight fit and often aren't.
