Preparing the Defender for a trip to the Alps and Italy next week. Had a full service done, a new timing belt and a new exhaust. The old exhaust was fully clogged, I am surprised how the new exhaust did improve the motor's performance! Thumbs Up

Luckily the snow on the Timmelsjoch Pass (2509 m) has just now been cleared, and the pass will finally open tomorrow!

Alps, here we come! Very Happy

Gave the 90 a thorough wash mainly to get the bird crap off, I give it an hour before its got more on again Evil or Very Mad

I also opened up my Wipac spotlights as the drivers side one hadn't worked since I changed to a new A bar. Turns out I'd dislodged the filament in the bulb and snapped the earth tab on the back of the light bowl so a new one is needed. Does anyone know if you can get just the bowl or is the whole lamp needed? 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold)
Looking for another to replace it.

The road less travelled.... is a muddy one!

I fitted my new to me nakatanenga single arm swing away wheel carrier, with a tremendous thanks to Breedon/leeds, for deciding he wanted to sell it to me.

Took literally 40 mins to fit much of that was spent cleaning what was under the standard door carrier I'm a happy boy

Fitted a Nakatanenga Post 2002 rear door gas stay from Brendan - took 30mins and now the rear door will attempt to brutally attack anyone standing behind it when opened.... The door opens so fast that I'm worried that it will try and rip itself off it's hinges.... 2013 Aintree Green 110 Station Wagon SX

Just make sure it doesn't fly open and you'll soon master the technique of opening and closing. It's very worth it.
At first it will seem very strong but it will calm down after a short while and won't be as forceful.
