90 Rear Seats
I need to temporarily remove one of the single folding rear seats in my MY2012 Defender 90. Are there any issues I should be aware of. Just need to free up some space for a week.

I just removed one of my rear seats after having worked round the ruddy things doing 2,000 miles around Scotland in the last couple of weeks. What a nuisance the seats are. Removal was easy all Torks with the exeption of two studs that go through the floor. Put all the bolts back in to seal the holes. You'll need to M8 bolts to fill the holes where the studs went. Can't believe the space I now have.Second one is coming out tomorrow!

Thanks chaps. Took one of them out yesterday prior to a run down to Cornwall. No problem coming out and yes, the space it frees up is great. It won't be going back any time soon.

Need to buy a torx set to remove these - does anyone know what size torx head is needed for these bolts?

t40 torx 3/8 drive and 6 inch extension makes it easier

+ 2x 13mm nuts under arch

I made a storage shelf to go in place of the seat when I take my seat out

Does anyone know the correct torque(s) for re-fitting the fasteners? (or where to find that info)

I'm looking to do the same with my 2 rear seats.

Is this something you can do on your own or do you need one person on the spanner end in the wheel arch and one person in the cabin?
