could have a good few reasons and some add a bit here and there = to a good few miles less to the gallon .
But as said diameter in tyres will vary you miles clocked . I would also have a look at the diesel , ie are you buying at the same place most times ? If so change and see ... Also in the winter the mix in the diesel is changed re frost , leading to a lesser effeciency of the diesel . Postmanpat |

Noticed sluggish performance and substantial fuel economy drop (4-5MPG) recently. Diagnosed replacement MAF by disconnecting it and noticing significant performance gains.
I haven't been far enough to see if the fuel economy has improved, but it is possible that this is the same problem. Stoo ![]() ![]() |

Think summer winter fuel consumption is evened out by the need for all the electrical kit during the winter. (Headlights, heater, fan etc. )

Random but easy to check - make sure your fuel pressure regulator isn't leaking

So.. just thought I'd check mine, 2005 90
... a week or 3 commuting 10k to and from work, then over the Alps and thro San Bernadino and down to Tuscany, some tracks down there on a friends property, back over the alps, an 'ab gas' (exhaust ) test - at 4800 rpm !! , (long story, getting it registered in Switzerland) a bit more commuting. all in all - what a Landy is for really. 941 miles (assuming it's correct), 148l. 29 mpg if my finger are right. ![]() Brought the 90 home from Switzerland ... |
