Thinking if getting this as need to put the CB radio somewhere
Anyone know how deep the DIN is as I don't really want to be cutting into the headlining ( not even too keen to drill into the door surrounds) |

Am sure some CB's will fit without a cut. My current cb is din sized but much more shallow than a radio head unit and the tti unit I had before was smaller than din. When I spoke to mud, I think they said most CB's would be ok.

Thanks Landyandy
My CB is 17.5 cms (18.5 cms as need to allow for the SO239 socket) I'm still undecided about whether to mount on front of cubby ( and remove when not in use) or get the roof console for a more permanent fitting |

I doubt it will fit without cutting the headlining.
I've got a basic Maxon CM10 which is 180mm deep and needed to cut the headlining. I don't see an issue with cutting a small hole in the headlining if the roof console is never going to be removed again. You can't see it. I also agree that you would, more then likely, have to cut away the headlining. I had to for my CB and that's quite small
![]() Do you have a standard cubby? If so, have you considered changing it for one that accepts a radio - Mobile Storage Systems, FCX for example? May be a lot easier than an overhead console..... I have an MSS one and would recommend that. Tony |

munch90, when you'd cut the center "bars" of the Mud console, did the shelf get unstable/weak ?

Thanks kzycnn
![]() We have two cubbys in the range that have DIN sized slots for a CB This one actually has two DIN slots, one with a secure 'slide away' cover ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge and this single DIN ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() |
