24 volt to 12 volt
I have a 24 volt army boiling vessel that I want it use in my Defender. It has quite a current draw but I wondered if it were possible to run it from 12 volts using some form of converter? Any ideas?

Yes, It is possible.
In fact there are several 12V to 24V converters. All will depend of how much current draw the equiment to buy the rigth converter.

Here one example

Thanks mate, it's a hefty big of kit so I reckon a heavy duty converter will be needed

If it's just a resistive heating element then it will probably work at 12V, just slowly.

I looked at fitting a BV into my 110. It's a helluva current draw. I dismantled it and looked at finding another element to fit inside, a 12v one, but didn't go into too much searching and eventually binned it.

I reckon if you got a couple of those travel kettles, you could canniblise the elements and fit them into the BV casing though.
