"A friend of mine" accidentally left the ignition on overnight whilst charging his iPhone and laptop - unfortunately the blower motor was also on
![]() So my question is: are the Puma electronics sensible enough to cut the power (e.g. to the blower) when the battery voltage falls below a certain level or is the battery just drained until coma? Cheers Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

There are devices you can install that will disconnect all power if it senses low voltage. This is to enable a single start to get you out of trouble.
I have the same with two Odysseys and have installed the IBS DBS Battery Monitor system with the added Booster Relay AND LBP180 Battery Protection. Have tried running the main battery flat and it all works perfectly by taking the starting power from the second battery. See here(if the link works): http://ibs-tech.ch/en/products/dual-batter...uproc.html I think you can buy this system from TBR if in the UK. |

At a quick glance something like this perhaps. But isn't that one of the functions of the ignition? You have to weigh up the odds of actually needing one I suppose?

Has your, err, friend, considered charging his phone and laptop from his second (non starter) battery to avoid this from happening?

![]() ![]() ![]() Paul, that looks great. Idiot -proof (just what I need) ![]() Thanks all. I've been using the vehicle all day with no problems - started fine after only 1/2 hour charging on the move, so I guess that means I... er I mean "my friend" hasn't completely crippled the main battery ![]() But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
