Engine bay work lamp live feed
2.2 engine . Where can I get a live feed from to power work lamp using crocodile clips ?

I think if I wanted to regularly use work light under bonnet I would run fused feed to socket under bonnet ,

also if you do run a fused heavy wire to under bonnet it makes it easier to wire added gadgets to in the future !!

Thats what I did.

I ran two wires - 16mm2 earth and live direct from battery to a 6 blade-fuse box mounted in the engine bay. from here I tap power for my spots, vhf radio etc....

Yeah starter motor and earth onto an engine bolt, i used a PAS pump bolt. William

personally I would go back to battery as its easier to put a fuse close to end to protect wire , fuse can be inside battery box easy to change and out of damp etc

as normall any wire should be run though protective sleeving

fuse down by starter motor is not so easy to get at
