Cheers Pickles, my favorite colour by a long way. As im keeping it that was one of the main reasons i changed my other soft top for it. Theres still a lot to do though!
Chris. I must of offered it up about 3 times since I collected it off you before i decided to go for it earlier I think it being the genuine one helps as looks like it could have always been there. If its dry this weekend it will get a good 3 stage polish, but other than that its just waiting for parts now. might order the new wheels next week, just depends what sort of deal i can get. Thanks Green Machine
Not much else has happened, the Wheels have been ordered though and as soon as they arrive (tomorrow or next day hopefully ) will be off to the paint man to be sprayed in limestone. My Galvanized Bumperettes arrived today and after drilling the rivets to get the chequer plate off then re riveting the holes there on. I had the same ones on my last few defenders as they stop a bit of spray up the rear pannel. (I cant stand Chequer plate hence the next thing) Also found in our rolls of vinyl a big roll of clear and got thinking! I've done all the corners that get wear to save them long term as sills often take abuse. im just testing with the corners (as pic) but will do the whole sill once I've fitted steps as a few passengers who will remain nameless don't mind hitting it with their shoes Found my Defendoor in the shed to a while ago so put that on. Mainly waiting for parts so other parts can get fitted now though. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Defender puma dormobile camper |

Nice, Tom. Once they're painted you might want to get some of this on them. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

Cheers Guys its getting there, To be fair i got a good price on the wheels and will then sell my black boosts (ill keep my 285's). I only went for 4 as wont carry a spare all the time. Had to get spacers as-well as struggling to get in the drive as have to use full lock to tuck it away, amazing what just a small offset change makes as having to do 2 shunts without them with the big tyres.
Inside im looking at some cream seats, thats it really though I'd of liked a double din dash but to much money for something I wont use really, so cant justify it as theres other bits id prefer plus its nice in the flesh and always makes me and others smile (I think its just the silliness of it really but I love it ) Id like to try and find a damaged set of puma doors to cut down with series tops, but thats very long term as it will be a keeper. Theres lots of other bits ill be doing still to it in the mean time. That wheel stuff looks good cheers I normally use autoglym but might give that a go Defender puma dormobile camper |

Another update from my lunch break (It seems to take all my time and money at the moment!)
Went and dropped my wheels off to be painted (more on that later ) and was told I could take my other bits but would have to leave them a bit before I fitted them. Like hell that was going to happen! so after a slow and careful drive back the light surrounds are back on (number plate bracket being made in stainless) I will leave the rest though as don't want to damage it so will have to wait in the shed roof. Turns out the painter has defenders so did an extra bit on the edges, a really fantastic job and top bloke. So if anyone in Essex needs painting done can only sing the praises of Barney Clark (B Clark vehicle body repairs in colchester) Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Defender puma dormobile camper |

Looks loads better, I think it would look better with a silver Stage 1 girl or a mesh one like on the Twisted Retro. www.td5.org

Looks good, Tom. Needs a more traditional looking snorkel and, as Me says, a decent Stage 1 grill to finish it off though. Darren
