Fitting Discovery rims on a Defender may require the use of hubcentric rings (spigot adapter rings). Cheers, Vincent

Which type of Disco rims? They should be a straight swap and not require spigot rings. Darren

The hunk of junk jimny I am forced to drive as a daily suffers from the same. Done all sorts of things to make it better and it turns out that 2 of the tyres are not round. With them on the front it is almost impossible to drive yet on the back it is not far off right. Might be worth checking your own for being round too? I had similar issue with AT's, at about 60mph you would notice a vibration. Swapping them round improved but never got rid of the problem. The tyre fitter advised they were difficult to balance. I lived with it. I recently replaced the AT's with Yokohama's on the same rims and the vibration has gone. Paul

Steel Disco rims are very strong and a straight fit on Defenders. It's far more likely to be the tyres as other have suggested.
