Continued the strip down of the roof rack, just two snapped of bolts that need drilling and tapping.
Marked out and drilled the holes to mount some front facing roof lights. A combo of square fogs and spit lights. Once all done, the rack will be heading for blasting and powder coating. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Got the dog out for a great walk, then drove round Woburn safari park. Great day for a picnic, and lots of enthusiastic waves from families in other Defenders ... 2009 110 XS Station Wagon

I made a start on the SS bolt kit from Brendan's group buy. So far got fitted the side door bolts, body to cross member bolts and most of the rear door bolts. The side door and cross member bolts went on brilliantly but I think my rear door has dropped whilst I was changing the bolts, I took the spare wheel off before I started and only did one bolt at a time but it's not the easiest to latch closed now looks like a pig of a job to get it aligned properly on your own.
After that I decided it was safer to wash it and get all the salt off of it. Now it's pretty clean and I'm just waiting to see if A-Plan insurance can beat my insurance renewal price. 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold) Looking for another to replace it. The road less travelled.... is a muddy one! |
