We could of course start a grumpy young whippersnapper thread for our younger contributors.
Someone recently pointed out to me (definitely getting on in years and sometimes grumpy) that one of the good things about getting old is that it greatly reduces the risk of dying young! I am still tyring to convince myself that this is a good thing, but it is a valid point. |

When your young and go off on one it's worse because it's harder to come down from your temper.

I'm not sure if it fits, but I'm afraid I have been diagnosed (by my best friend, work mates, girlfriend, grandparents) with cynicism.
My best mate infact telling me I'm a cynical bar steward for assuming that the new discovery will not be able to be fitted with a winch as a dealer fit, the new freelander be non 4x4 as standard and that the new defender will have airbags! I'm sure that couriers have been covered before but what's the point of having a tracking function if it dosn't update until it has been delivered!!! I ordered something a week ago and if arrived today, however when I checked this morning it said unable to update, however just now it said it had been delivered. YES, I know it was delivered, i signed for it!!!! Also why is courier such a hard word to spell? |

Why do most oil seals fail at the same time, Oil slick on the drive yesterday SHMBO took it to our local Indi (good mechanics not just fitters) oil seals on front and rear diffs have failed will need to be replaced and we might as well do both swivels as well as they are leaking.

Oh you do fill me hope of a clean drive. The mechanic advised me that that the rubber oil seal does wear a groove out of the drive shaft after 50.000 miles or so. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to ![]() Richard |
