€449 or €499 - one or the other. Can't read German. Too expensive in other words!

Mal, do you remember how much you paid for that? Safari Equip don't have the price on their site and they're closed (obviously).

I can't see f^all out of my rear window anyway because of the tints so I put the Safari wheel carrier at the highest setting. I was lucky enough to pick mine up second hand from DJ Hutton below was the thread and fitting guide. If memory serves me correct they are/were about £450 full price.

My mistake BW, I did not realise that Sonic had done one for pickup's. Unfortunately the Sonic/Alisport ones are almost as rare as rocking horse poo. I did hear a rumour that the next batch of Sonic/Alisport ones were going to be in the region of £1,000.
The Kaymar Single pivot wheel carrier is available for £1,077 from Devon 4x4 The Safari Equip single pivot is £425 The Nakatanenga Single pivot is £425 The standard Safari Equip range varies from about £170 up to about £300. This would depend on various options such as pick up or SW, high lift jack mount or not, large wheel or standard, finish, powder coated, galvanised or galvanised and powder coated. I personally prefer the standard Safari Equip one over other makes as they have bigger mounting brackets. Not sure what price the new Nakatanenga one will be at this moment. We can supply the Nakatanenga wheel carrier or any of the Safari Equip range of wheel carriers. We can get special ones made to order as well. Brendan |

Brendan, no worries! Those of us with long memories will remember that the reason Matt designed his Sonic3d carrier in the first place was because there were no carriers available at the time suitable for his own double-cab.
The carrier requires no drilling and mounts entirely on the cross-member. It is strong enough to carry twin wheels and to be used as a step for accessing a roofrack. It is however unsuitable for rear door fitted vehicles since it can only be unlatched from outside. |

Went with the Safari Equip one after alot of research and a very helpful chat with Brendan, his service is excelent. Whilst slightly more expensive than other makes it is bullet proof and gets my vote every time.
