I opted for the upgraded sound system and sub woofer as I like my music and it sounds incredible. I run a iPad mini as my sat nav, web browser etc and I have it mounted on a ram mount which I like. My concern with the flat screen would be reflection, or is that not an issue? I like the repositioned switches just to the left of the steering wheel a lot.

The reflection / angle of screen has been mentioned before but in the end the general consensus I think was that it isn't an issue. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

As for the screen angle/reflection issue - the screen is really good, it's not like an old style LCD but more like the 'glossy' screen you get on an iphone or similar, the screen like really good from whatever angle and I don't even have the brightness on full- although it's fairly grey outside!
Also: do you think my old facia is worth anything? Bare in mind it has the clock/vents but (albeit cleanly) cut off. Don't imagine it's much use to anyone? Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

You may want to use the big hole in the side switches for a manual volume knob for the Smart?

no volume knob fitted yet, but got the TomTom installed (for free ) with all the European maps. Very good, much better than the default iGo one which is pretty clunky and difficult.
very happy with the result, should keep me on the right track in Europe this summer! Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Yeah I'm happy.... Packed full of features and really easy to use
No I've never thought about it really to be honest, I quite like how it looks factory fit, a couple of people have even said 'I didn't know land rover offered satnav?' Which is high praise considering I fitted it with a screwdriver and a penknife pretty much! Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |
