For a very top of the range HU (with all the bells and whistles) and dash etc you could easily blow £1000 - £1800.

For reference, facia and head unit and a couple of little DIY bits cost me £740 ish total, very good value I think! Cheers, David

Yes, the Parrot Asteroid Smart seems excellent value for money, but the double DIN console unit is an absolute disgrace!! How can anyone justify charging that kind of price for bleedin' plastic which doesn't even fit properly (you have to cut the vents off the old console)? Anyway, rant over, I want this Android interface in my Defender. Where can I buy the console for good value? Very Happy Is there a well known Swedish retailer website that may offer the kind of price I'm looking for?

I got mine from Dynamic Sounds on ebay, was a bit uncertain about buying online but great service, comes with warranty and delivery was quick & free. Would recommend Cheers, David

can't fault it, only really use bluetooth audio, tuner, handsfree, tom-tom and spotify apps on a daily basis and all work brilliantly.

i can help anyone get the tom-tom europe for free if theyre interested.

any questions, fire away. Cheers, David

Yes it it, that pleases me when I got it as I've had parrot things in the past that weren't so quick to respond to users inputs.

No not tried google maps, don't need it tbh with full European tomtom maps and an iPhone I can usually find anywhere. Also the unit doesn't usually have Internet as I just don't need it really, tomtom maps are on an SD card Cheers, David

What did you do with the old cut off bottom bit? Would you like to sell it?

Cheers

I just put the SD in my Mac and deleted it manually yeah. Just to clear space though, can't see any reason you'd have to if you have space, although iGO was rubbish IMO!

I've never figured out how to kill apps but never seemed a problem.

Let me know if you need any help Cheers, David
