2008 Puma paint bubbleing.
My Defender 110 is a 2010 model the paint work has bubbleing under the paint on the rear, whats the chance the dealer will sort under corrosion warranty, is it 6year on paint work, is it worth a try. Question Defender 110

unless your car was registered in january 08 then it will still be less than 6 years old? Cheers, David

yep, I've had a number of bits done - if one dealer rejects then you could always try another but I'm sure they will Cheers, David

I have had a looked in the warranty book and it says as long as the defender has been cleaned to comply with land rover and has had the body work inspected by the dealer every year. This is were they can refuse as the last service was done at an independant specialist and there for wasnt inspected. I can but take it to then and see. Defender 110

Is it the same as the link below (my post)? If so you may need to broker a deal.... Thumbs Up

Its rusting in the same palce as the one in the link, but i think they will have there excuses but whether its checked ever year is a load of rubbish its just started bubbleing and checking it last year wouldnt make any differance. Defender 110

Hello,
Could I just clarify something, i understand having the body inspection carried out by the lr dealer would keep the body warranty covered so to speak which i don't have a problem with.
As i myself understood after the first three years of main dealer servicing / vat registered garage. The main sections of the warranty will have ran out.
The vehicle servicing could be carried out by the owner, which most of us seem to do, and this would not affect the body warranty side of things am i right in my thinking or have i miss understood

As i read the warranty book it say the bodywork should be checked and signed buy the lr dealer upon anual free inspection. This is how they will get out of repairing my landy as i didnt take it for inspection last year. Defender 110

You can service it yourself but must take it to the lr dealer for a free corrosion inspection to keep it in warranty.. Defender 110

In a bit of contradiction to that my 2011 which is having the approved work done at the moment, has never been back to land rover, as the last owner serviced it at his firms workshop from new and they were fine with it at my local dealership? so it might not be refused if you have only missed a couple.
