Well done, what was the eventual source of the leak?
Cheers, Pickles.

The leak was caused basically by the a post to roof bolt coming out which allowed the roof to flex more than it should and crack sealer around the front of the rain gutter and front of the roof. I first though it was the door seal so headed down the wrong path and there was a small leak from the windscreen block gaskets that had been replaced earlier this year, so with drying times for sealer and stripping out the head lining it's taken three days (on and off) so far and I'm not rebuilding until we've had some more rain, just to be sure Mr. Green

Well its not really what I did in my Defender, its what I did with it. I jumpstarted a poor wet, cold, miserable motorcyclist in the Tesco car park in Abingdon, Oxford. He was about to give up hope, then he saw me arrive, and thought that I may just have jump leads somewhere in the Tank! Needles to say there was a very grateful motorcyclist and a new land rover fan leaving Tesco tonight. Zermatt Silver 2.4 (with Alive stage 1 remap) TDCi 110 Double Cab Pick Up

Everything in life is somewhere else, and you get there in a Landrover.

Thought about fitting a bit more of the bolt kit but haven't bothered because the weather is a bit unpredictable.

today I discovered how easy it can be to remove a steering drop arm ......... when you have the right tools.

I bought a drop arm removal tool from HNJ Engineering - a small firm down in Bristol who make special tools for Landrovers. OK it cost £124 but it was worth it!

I applied WD40 liberally and then wound up the removal tool gently increasing the pressure applied. Within two minutes with no fuss whatsoever the arm slipped off.

Very pleased with it! Now I can get on and fit my Gwyn Lewis drop arm conversion kit.

Premature posting
Not what I have done today but what I will tomorrow.
Yup on thurs I pick up my beaten up 110 . It's been in getting the light bar and lights wired in along with a Dab stereo, front and rear speakers and an amp. All this plus a whole load of niggling repairs. The team at JSF have been great and kept me updated. 15 hours and counting.....
