Poor running after about 10 miles
Hello festive chaps and chapes's

Not sure what to do......about 8 weeks ago replaced the injector loom and purged all oil out of the harness and ECU.
(59000 miles)

Couple of weeks ago the following started to happen, on startup td5 runs fine...after about 10 miles of stop start town type driving it misfires and runs on 4.

Took to local independent L/R dealer who carried out full service and replaced fuel filter and cleaned around injectors said it was running fine.
Ran for ....yes you guessed it, 10 miles and it's missing again.
Can't take it back to them until the new year.

Had the following slight mods for about last 10,000miles, EGR removed, panel filter and decat pipe.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for reading this and Merry Christmas.

Jonesie it's so wet here thinking of building an arc. Series I 86" Petrol orig side valve (daily hack)

It should be easier to find the root-cause now if it's doing it straight away which is good news. Do you have or know of anyone in your area with a fault code reader? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

New panel filter? Paper or oil?

Have you tried with MAF disconnected?

If this helps...

If you can make the Oxon pub meet on the 8th Jan http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic25201.html

I can bring along my Nanocom and we can check for fault codes and live readings.

Appreciate you will probably want it sorted prior to that though... Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

Thanks for those replies.
Air filter is a pipercross oil.
Got to say I haven't tried it with the maf disconnected but will in the morning.

Probably a silly idea but have you tried it with the filler cap off?
The tank breather might be blocked.
