Oh right, I take it that the C Tek is not like my old chargers that bang the charge in as fast as the battery will take it. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

my c-tec is designed to stay connected to the vehicle for long periods ... check the documentation on the web site or instructions but as far as i know that's what c-tecs are for, for the model I have it states the chargers can be connected for months
have a look here for the manuals http://www.ctek.com/gb/en/page/support/manuals |

These are a brilliant addition to any trickle charger... Can give a very neat installation and easy connection without lifting up the seat.

With an IP rating of 42 connected and 40 disconnected I would say 'under cover' ideally, or inside the vehicle or even in a higher rated enclosure if fitting externally. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Ideal for fridges etc in the back of a defender, but for battery charger you can mount to the grill surround or front bumper.
With the optional cover the base is sealed from the elements. http://www.mobilecentre.co.uk/index.php?ma...cts_id=696 You see these plugs fitted to fire engines etc.... so no damage caused if they drive off without disconnecting. As I have already said I have the parts but was concerned about charging the battery while still connected to the vehicle. Don't make old people mad.

Make something idiot proof..... and then you get a better idiot. With a c tek or similar you won't have any issues. I use a the bigger chargers on a daily basis.
