If it was 30 seconds most people would live with that. It's the overtakes that drivers attempt on the flat because there limiter is slightly higher than the truck in front only to arrive at a incline where the more limited truck is carrying a lighter load and keeps chugging away and the overtaking truck doesn't have enough umph to get past. Do they ever back down and drop back behind..not a chance. I understand why but it winds me up like everyone else that just wants to go as fast as we can to get the boring motorway out of the way. www.td5.org

you are so right
![]() don't think I'll break any records on this tank but I'll be very interested to see the results now things seem to be running rather nicely. I need to get a few long trips in back to back and I can aim for the illusive 600 ![]() even at 600 its a mile off the wifes golf my07 that runs on between 50 - 100% home brew ![]() ![]() yours all sorted now after the we prang? |

Yeah, all mechanically sorted
![]() ![]() Just noticed that you have your lights on in the picture......... you might be losing distance by doing that- you need to buy some night vision goggles ![]() Glyn |

Haha, quite the opposite, lights on during the day- I also always have my sidelights on all the time- also saves learning the laws in separate countries relating to lights, quite strange how some are compulsory and others aren't. I do mean to get LED ones at some point though.... every time I look at something small I end up researching much more expensive parts and forget about the lights
![]() Next purchase is one of these: ![]() Then hopefully when I introduce it to my sankey, they will fall in love, one will mount the other resulting in a beautiful cross-breed ![]() ![]() Glyn ![]() ![]() Tent on sankey chassis, not sankey tub on tent chassis!!! :P Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() |

I suspect it will be a very nice 'partnership' and I look forward to seeing the end result - good luck.

orange light on at 465.3 miles today.....not my best by quite a long way but I'd say I'm using more revs these days as the engine isn't sounding so bad.
anyhow should see me through to 500 miles on this tank. so far as I'm concerned anything over 450 is ok, 500 and I'm well happy but if I get a few long journeys back to back when I've got plenty of time on my hands it would be good to see what the MAX is.... ![]() |

On way home last night and orange light came on at 482 on this tank..... so 45ish miles till fill up and that equates to 527 miles on this tank......not too bad.

I drive sensibly and read the road well (I ride bikes too) and around 400 is the best I get. I cannot see how in real world driving, these guys get another 100 miles from a tank
