Yes, I´m quite happy with the result.

And even if it turned out to be a faulty ECU in the end, the other actions like replacement of injector harness, cps, etc were also needed. And I gained a lot of knowledge about the vehicle thanks to you guys.

So Simon, have you yet found a solution to your Defender problems?

Nah. Small steps forward thanks to Ian at IRB but no change to the basic problem.

I am going to set it on fire now and claim on the insurance. 2003 Td5 110 Hardtop
Now a 2013 110 USW too.

Sorry to hear that you have no solution yet to your problems Simon.

I have to confess that I had similar thoughts some days ago... But no longer. Took it for a test drive today and it feels that the engine runs much better with the new ECU...

Tomorrow I will take the Defender for an MoT inspection as it expired during the the time it was parked up. So now I just hope that the fault codes were erased and stay erased as MoT here in Sweden have started to OBD check that there are no fault codes logged.

Thanks Jon. But all the credit for sorting out the problem should go to you guys here at Defender2 and the Swedish LR Club (in particular to Patrik who came around with his Nanocom and other gadgets...).

And by the way - it passed the MoT with flying colours.
