Daily drive for me x 2 - I go home every lunch time to see to the dogs, chickens and cat. That's 20 miles a day, 100 per week, which should work out around 5000 per year. Strange I've managed to do approx 12,000 in my first year - but there again any excuse at the weekends I'm out in it

Not since the beginning of the month but still twice a week or more as I need it really. It depends on what I have to do with work. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

The FCX130 has been my daily drive to work for the past month (80 mile round trip) as my previous daily drive (an Astra van) has been handed down to our new Land Rover technician Paul.
It will continue to be my daily drive, although as we've now moved into the new HQ the mileage should decrease dramatically, until March when my new daily drive arrives |

Slightly off topic - Taffrican, I ride everyday, all day, all year round (37k miles on my bike which was brand new in Jan this year) and have used a Gerbing heated jacket for the last 3 winters. Would deffo recommend it to make winter riding more bearable. I wear a Helly Hansen top, a wind stopper and the Gerbing under my bike jacket. Not the 17 layers I used to wear!! Back on topic, my 110 isn't a daily unfortunately as I use the bike. Just as much fun, smile is just as big and I get through the traffic so much better. Though the Mrs Saab was off the road for a week so she was using the truck, Saab now fixed but she's just left for work in the Truck Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful! |

Am I crazy
I have driven Defenders as daily drivers over the years but for the last 10 years I have been driving a Disco 3 and now a Disco 4. I now seriously considering selling the Disco4 as I don't want to run two vehicles and don't need that size of vehicle anymore. I have a TD5 90 CSW that I'm seriously considering as my new daily covering 15k per annum. Anyone else doing this kind of mileage in their TD5? 1964 Series IIA SWB Truck Cab - gone 1981 Series III SWB Hardtop - gone 1982 Series III SWB Hardtop - gone 1997 300Tdi Defender 90 Hardtop - gone 1983 Series III SWB Station Wagon - gone 1979 Series III SWB Station Wagon - gone 2007 90 CSW - gone 2010 USW XS - gone 2010 110 USW - gone 1959 Series II Truck Cab 1984 Series III CSW 2004 TD5 90 CSW |
