Switch to turn off driving auxilary lamps but keep main beam
Is it legal & how would I install a switch to turn off my auxilary lights while keeping the main beam on?
What would I need to buy & do?Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

It is legal, you just need to put a switch in the trigger feed from the main beam wire to the relay. So where it is currently connected from the main beam cable directly to the relay yo turn it on there needs to be a switch in this cable run. There is no current through this it is only the trigger to turn the aux lights on. A simple on of switch would do the trick.⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

I did just the thing today,
installed an ON - OFF - ON toggle switch so I have the choice between always on, always off or automatic with full beam:
The aux lights will be controlled by relay, you just need to locate the relay by following the wire, then follow the wire from the relay.
