As here in the Geneva area of Switzerland they apparently lost the art of Dinitrolling a long time ago, (can easily say so as have done the research) in the end I contacted LR in my home town Antwerp, Belgium for recommendations. They referred me to a Volvo dealer a bit North of Antwerp, who apparently still masters the art of properly treating a Defender.
Long story short, my SVX 110 spent a good week there and they did just a fantastic job, fully along the lines of ZAG's recommendations, and then some.... The Volvo garage in question is a family owned official Volvo dealer, an owner with a heart for good work, who clearly has a weak spot for Defenders as I found out afterward, and who knows what treating a Defender really means. They treated my SVX extremely thoroughly, including the bulkhead, rear crossmember, taking off all 5 door panels, even the rear lights, etc. so that every hole that they then could have access to, would get used for spraying. No additional holes drilling if not necessary. They do it the real professional way, with the inside of the chassis legs getting sprayed at 80 bar, pure Dinitrol, not mixed with air that is. When I recovered the car, it was spic and span, only occasionally have to wipe some of the lighter transparent stuff which still will drip out of the doors and A and B frames. So, long story short, anyone in Belgium who want their Defender treated properly for eternity (and pls do it from new, or in my case when the underside still was very immaculate), I would recommend to contact Eric Postiaux. Their website is www.postiaux.be You can find phone numbers, etc. all there. Last thing, the price is a very honest one too for the job they did. Hope someone will find this useful. Steve, I asked Dinitrol Switzerland for recommendations as to who in this area would be able to do a real professional thorough job on a Defender. I checked out the 2 by Dinitrol recommended garages, (one in Geneva, the other in Neuchatel), and with the info of ZAG's sticky in my mind, I quickly noticed that the Swiss do not like to get their hands dirty, and on top of that have ludicrous expectations of what one would have to pay for a half hearted job. I believe you did yours yourself when new while here, right, which is an entirely different issue? I can only say, that contrary to my discussion and visit to the 2 Swiss Dinitrollers recommended by Dinitrol themselves, this Volvo dealer recommended by LR Antwerp for a Dinitrol job, gave already full confidence during my first phone discussion with them, and now seeing the result after the fact, I can fully recommend them to anyone else who is within reasonable distance from there. Hi BPman. Don't suppose you remember the name of the garage in Petit Lancy, do you? Google isn't helping me on this one. |

Www.lrg.be in Herentals. Rob is also know as "the oracle" because he's always spot on when you describe a problem. His son has taken over but he's still very present and passionate about Defenders.
In Belgium there are only 3 good dutch speaking LR people: Goran (GRX) in Zottegem Alain an Erik (Alanius) in Zoersel The Rob an son (LRG) in Herentals As far as I know only LRG does dinitrol. They even make some extra holes to do it right. |

hi David sorry, I just checked my PMs from LT from 2010 and it's not there, i would recommend going to visit Bob at FreddyMarine in Rolle http://www.fredymarine.ch/ ... Bob, Jean-Marc and I did a thorough job on my Ice edition. Bob has the garage, Jean-Marc works at the 4x4 shop near Autobritt (and is a friend of Bob's) Both Bob and Jean-Marc are both land rover drivers and love the marque, otherwise I would recommend talking to Kitoper and Ericvv, they know of a place near/in Bern but did a fantastic job .. that's where mine are going next |

As BPman says, Leu Carrosserie & Spitzwerk AG is THE place to go to in Switzerland. It is all detailed by Kitoper in his thread which I copied below. I have visited the place with him, and have seen the result of their work, and can only say
