One more upgrade completed!
Have now fitted the HD front bumper from Devon 4x4. Really pleased with the 'standard' looks but it's a much better quality item and no silly end caps! It's 5mm thick steel so is pretty beefy, with built in recovery points. The powder coating looks to be top quality too... Highly recommended! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Still working on the grille - struggling to get a good fit to the surround to be honest. Maybe I'll just give in and buy one of the Nakatanenga ones (although I'm not 100% sure about the look)... |

Thanks Smilesapart - very kind!
Added a couple of minor mods today, firstly a genuine 'Defender' front badge: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Secondly, a retro-style Lucas GB sticker (not 100% sure about this at present): Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Still not sorted a mesh grille out... |

Next mod in progress...
Click image to enlarge I won a new old stock Stage 1 V8 grille on ebay - decided this was far easier than making my own! Needs some mods to the surround to do a tidy job. I will need to relocate the lower fixing lugs for the grille and get the three holes on each side filled and the surround re-sprayed. Think it'll be worth doing properly though. Should complete the retro look with my Entreq light surrounds. |

That is very cool. I've always been a fan of the Stage 1. Darren

Lovely vehicle.
I was reading through the thread & I had the thought that the "old" Defender badge should be fitted to the front grille area,...and you've already done it! Keswick is a great colour. Cheers, Pickles. |

Thanks Pickles - love the look of your Keswick 90 too - the silver roof really suits it.
I have also ordered a small 'old style' metal Land Rover oval badge for the grille to fit to the bottom RH corner. Should arrive next month to finish the job, fingers crossed. Cheers, Steve. |

Good job on the grille Steve! I have never never been sure on the Defender badge plus LAND ROVER across the bonnet - perhaps a de-badge with a silver Stage 1 Style Land - ROVER badge would have been another option?
I have done absolutely nothing with mine recently besides drive to and from work etc, still looks the same as when you saw it earlier this year. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

I'll be interested in seeing it,....I love the retro stuff. Cheers, Pickles. NB: Glad you like the Indus roof, in the flesh it looks really good, but I've been disappointed that my images haven't been able to show it properly, it seems to look "white"! |
