Castrol Magnetec 10W/40 semi-synthetic is the closest oil to the stuff that the Tdi was developed on. I always use it in my 300Tdi, as I have had the vehicle from almost-new, given that it doesn't use more than 100ml between services. The Fuchs Titan 10W/40 seems to be good oil, not a bad price, and that is what I put into my customer's cars for their services where that grade is required (except the Landrovers, they get Castrol as a special treat!) Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

Hmm, you really don't understand the SAE oil viscosity numbers, do you ? Wink

Any xW-40 diesel oil that meets/exceeds API CI-4+ and/or ACEA E4/6/9 is a good choice, in other words any 5W/10W/15W-40 HDEO.
