If you get your windows tinted it gets worse! When I look in my rear view mirror the relection is that good between the front and rear windows that I can see what's heading towards me rather than what's behind me!
If you read it slowly it does make sense! Honest! ![]() Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

I was initially quite surprised to see someone apparently coming up behind me with a closing speed of 80mph
![]() The best thing to do for the rear window is obscure it with child seats, cargo barriers and window guards. Then you pretty much can't see anything in either direction ![]() I've never noticed my instrument binnacle reflected in the side window though. Try turning your lights off and using the Force ![]() + New Defender 110 First Edition |

I can't really understand why this is an issue! Just rotate your head a complete 180 degrees and face backwards when driving forwards at night - problem solved! Anyone can do that! Can't they?????

![]() ![]() As one teacher said me sometime, "If the problem cannot be solved is not a problem anymore: it is a fact. If the problem can be solved also is not a problem: is just a thing to do". I like the solution of rotate the head in 180° but I believe that require some practice... Cheers! All windows are reflective, it just happens that Deefer windows are also almost completely vertical (upright), rather than curved like most modern designs.... |

That's why when they get hit with a stone there are no 'glancing blows' but you inevitably need a replacement. I've had the misfortune of two windscreen replacements in a very short period of time. ![]() Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Yeah,
Also the windscreen works as a insect attractor... In other cars with more curved and horizontal windscreens the insect tends to fly up and do not impact directly as in the Defender.
