I bought a decent solar panel charger. I stuck on dash of 90 and it kept it charged no matter how infrequently I used the Defender - even through British winters.
This saved issue of running leads out to 90 when not in use. |

If you use a solar panel charger... Am I correct that if you plug it in to the cigarette adaptor it will still charge the battery while all the electric are off and the vehicle is all locked up on a Puma 2.2 Defender?
Or ro you need to run some extra wires to the motor? |

No, it wouldn't as the standard socket in the dash is only 'live' and connected to the battery when the ignition key is in position one.
You'd need to run another permanently live socket for it. John http://www.hampshire4x4response.co.uk 2011 Tdci 110 CSW XS |

Yes, no reason why not with the right cable connection. John
