United Kingdom 2008 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Tonga Green
Going to get a snow cowl this year. Question is metal or plastic.... Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Not sure but I think my boot maker might Mr. Green

I was actually thinking of the thread on the subject of wellies that ran for quite a while in the for sale bit Wink Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.

[Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc]

I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic.

Looking at this thread makes me smile. There are some good ideas but some strange ideas. It's almost as if people don't do anything to their LR all year and then as soon as it starts to get cold they have to go out and service their vehicles.
A quick check of all levels, stronger screenwash and a quick look at the battery is all I do. A grab bag in the rear with spare clothes and a brew kit.
Remember you are driving a LR not a eurobox. 110 D250 SE HT

Methylated spirit... I add it to the screenwash to stop it freezing.

I put a shovel and a tow rope in as I inevitably always come across someone who is stuck or has skidded off the road. Exclamation

My preparation will include nothing at all. FFS, it's just snow.

Personally I'll be fitting some smaller tyres at work. I've worked out I might have an inch or so of clearance to get under the barrier to the works car park.

If it snows more than an inch I'm staying for the night or breaking out the spade.

This winter I will mainly be putting diesel in the 90 and then driving it. No other winter preps required, although I suspect it may get cold around December time, maybe even dropping to 25C on some days! Rolling with laughter

Silicone for door rubbers and some form of barrier to turn my hardtop into a truck cab
To try and keep the heat in.

And much the same as the rest of the year if it works drive it , when it breaks try and work more to pay for bits to fix it

Anyone found a good way to stop the door button freezing up

Right arm elbow warmer! (Patent pending Smile ) Much cheaper than a momo steering wheel, greater range of colours possible!

(Of course I have considered keeping the window closed ..... but that is just silly...)
