just antifreeze, chain and maybe some AT tyres to replace my nearly worn general grabbers for christmas!

Three cubic metres of seasoned logs, few sacks of Blazers eco logs, 14kw wood burner and half a dozen bottles of Scotland's finest - that should last a couple of weeks

Does anyone find snow chains of use day to day or better just not to bother going out if its that bad ?

Yeh they are excellent but only time I'v had to use them was to pull 7.5 tonne lorry up a totally iced hill . It had slid backwards all the way down and with all chains on it was no probs .

Make sure the heated seat switch still works.........

Sorry if this is a stupid question (although stupid questions are the easiest to answer!) I've followed the excellent advice on corrosion protection on the forum and used Dinitrol on the chassis and ACF50 on body cappings etc., I'm getting the feeling that ACF50 seems to get used all over the place from the chassis up. Has anyone had any problems with it on paintwork? My best prep for winter has to be a heated windscreen. By far the best safety mod for winter use of a Defender in Scotland 300 TDi 110 CSW |

Always laugh at my dad in his land cruiser and his de-icer / scraper on cold mornings

I'm ready I think..........Eberspacher with a timer, heated windscreen, heated mirrors, heated seats, oh and yes, the thicker coats dug out from the back of the cupboard and a vest!

Ive ordered a new one, which is supposed to get delivered on the 20th december, one of the extras ive added was the cold climate pack. So I'm sorted. That, along with the Goodyear wranglers.
I get scared reading peoples posts, if you know what i mean, im tempted to leave it in the garage and use a tractor |

Must be me but I travel all over Scandinavia in mine in winter . Only thing I find a problem is the fuel cap which I leave unlocked.
Have more problems with leaves than snow |
