Took it to be serviced. Wish I hadn't! How much?!? Shocked

Service charge is fine, it's the 'extras' that are found for which extra charges are made that hacks me off. Apparently they have found metal filings in the diff and gearbox oil too so have been told a new gearbox and diff is in my future. I will be investigating further when I pick it up.

Not happy. She's not old...just older

Over the last couple of days I finally got around to finishing off the work light fitting. Thanks to Brendan I now have a bright, very low current, LED light to help when back from walking the dogs late Very Happy

With a neat (IMHO) switch installation at the rear and at the front so its all independent of the reverse gear/light switch and I can have it on or off (when not on a public road) at will.

Cleaned up the front end ready for dinitrol, it's come up very well considering it 2.5yrs old now. It almost seems a shame to cover in black goo!

Vizsla -- can I ask where you picked up the clamp you've mounted the light on? Did you source it separately to the light?

Darren - underside looks great but not sure about using building blocks underneath axle stands.

Drove from London to Matlock, hit a small white thing around for a bit and drove back again.

She went well Smile

Puma seats installed into my TD5. Bit of fabrication needed. Dynamat, thanks to Simon (SGH) in this week. Wish i'd installed it before the hot summer! Tonneau cover still needed before camping season starts.

P.S the wife was cornered by a couple of Local Arab chaps begging to buy the Defender today.... they obviously had good taste.
