Get out there in the rain! What a shame to leave a lovely defender like that covered up! Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

David, afraid missed my chance. The tropical storms came and went away again, it's going to be sunny and dry again today. Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Even better then! Nothing like driving your defender to put a smile on your face!
Hope I get mine back soon, love seeing yours on here - really is lovely! Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Decided to do a cambelt change and some other general work around the engine bay before the weather finally turns as I want to avoid having to do too much work on it in the cold and wet. The cambelt is not due to be changed for another 14k miles but as I am doing some other bits it was an easy job to do at the same time and I think it does no harm to change a cambelt a bit early.
Very glad I did decide to do it, when I opened up the timing sae there was a half shredded belt! The old style pulley seems ti have chewed one side of the belt away. No I just need to clean up all the mess in there and refit new pulleys and belt and hopefully not have this issue again before its next scheduled change. |

In about 50 miles time re-tighten those spacers up again and then again in a couple hundred miles. They can undo, although not come undone.
Oh and remember now you have spacers on you can adjust your steering stops to improve your steering lock |
