Sweet! Thanks Sonic....from the horses mouth, exactly what I wanted! Will be picking up my 5 x BFG muds from Ken sometime in the next few days (I hope - I'm the holdup, not Ken) Mark 2011 110 XS DC Stornoway Grey |

I wish we were expecting snow Someone on the Croisier had a 110 with 285`s on boosts and broke his rear chains as you need an extra 20 - 30mm of clearance for them |

But if you fit 285's on Boosts with no spacers you will have the turning circle of a very long barge which could actually be dangerous on the road if you have to make a tight turn!!!!! Andy

Andy.........it dont make that much difference to 265s wind the bumptops in and you get no difference to 235 standard tyres
Now you buying these wheels or not as they are going on another few sites if not You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things |

I assumed that the lock stops would have to be adjusted out to stop the wider tyres fouling on the radius arms on full lock thus giving a poor turning circle. That was the case when I had 265's on Boosts on my 1st Puma 110. Andy

Totally confused of Somerset here
If I fit 265's on ZU rims, 11mm offset, do any of the experts reckon I will need to adjust the bump stops ? Bob |

You will have the effect of 22mm spacers, if anything you will be able to wind the stopps in a little which will make your turning circle tighter Glyn |

I haven't even looked to see where my bump stops are, or what they even look like!

I think some of you are now confusing the steering lock adjusting bolts too the bump stops
With spacers you will be able to adjust the steering lock bolts to give you a bit more lock the bump stops are only to stop the axles from hitting the chassis |

I told you I was confused Thanks for putting me right Matt Thanks Glynn, If I can turn the steering lock bolts in to get a better turning circle then I call that a result Bob |

Probably never looked to see what my bump stops looked like on my Defender because couldn't see why on earth I'd need to fiddle with them, let alone for the steering.
