The wheels I have ordered should be here by April
These are they http://www.terrafirma4x4.com/products_php.php?cat=51&grp=282 They can be used with beadlockers but was quoted £390. That cannot be right surely for 4 big washers and some nuts and bolts Anyway I hope Ken has not sold the last KM2's cause I am about to fix paypal 59 2.4 110 XS Utility 55 TD5 110 CSW Special Vehicle |

I do like the look of those wheels and the fact it is beadlock ready is a bonus, but like the Blindo and ZU alloys they only come in 7x16 . I do love my Tx alloys soo much, but if I couldn't have them I would have considered Mach 5s.

I have a Def 90 with 2" lift, ZU rims in Anthrecite and 285/75/16 KM2's, no problems at all and drive very well in all conditions.. Just as good as the previous 265/75 AT's on the road.
I deliberated for ages on rim size opinions.. but ZU themselves fit 285 and larger to their demo vehicles and i walked round the Peterborough show and all sorts of sizes were being used.. will into the 300's.. Also heard from the manufacturer that the rims are made at 7.5", but again never measured it and connot comfirm I dont have any pics myself, odd, i must fix that.. but see if this link works. A day on the Plain.. http://www.kodakgallery.co.uk/ShareLanding...leid=en_GB Cheers Nick |

Picture 35 did you really need to clean off your number plate with pee? surely they have a hosepipe
Nice looking truck and nice pics According to terrafirrma literature you can fit up to 12" tyres onto them, I presume they would need the beadlockers then. I wonder if 285's on these wheels will need spacers as the offset is only 20mm? 59 2.4 110 XS Utility 55 TD5 110 CSW Special Vehicle |

I am not stating that you can't fit them on, and you could fit a set of 24" wide tyres on a 7" rim if you wanted to as long as you had them about 100" tall.
BFG state that their 285/75/16 tyre should be fitted to a minimum of 7.5" wide rims.......... if you had an acident (not that hopefully anyone will) thrugh tyre failure and people loose their life, the outcome will not be 'accidntal death' and the way things are going the finger would get pointed at you (and the fitting person/company) not the tyre manufacturer as they will straight away state that the rim is too narrow. Always check what the tires' perameters are, and unfortuntly 'the guy says they are realy 7.5"' won't stand up in court if the rim is marked 16x7J. But saying that more than likely it will be just fine with no problems. As with my stereo (screen type) is supposed to be plugged into the handbrake.....but when driving you can't adjust any settings which is irritating -- I just earthed it so it works all the time.....this to can be checked after an accident and could end up with a conviction. Just remember to keep it at the back of your mind, Glyn p.s. Nice looking motor |

Thanks all, the camera man was a mate of mine who has just taken it up as a new hobby.. some good shots!
We did indeed have a great day out and the plains were so wet that weekend we were knee high in puddles and mud all day.. took some cleaning! Must get back and do it again soon... The jeep is a colleague of mines and is also very well sorted.. That little Jimny was awesome!... just needed some lockers. Good bunch of guys from down that way guided us round all day. Back to topic thought.. wheels/tyres are great in all conditions.. I use that truck most days now for commuting. BTW, did not pee on the number plate but did you see the terradactyl that poo'd on my jacket? |

Cibit If I can so bold - how much are the Terrafirma wheels ? I could not find a price on the web anywhere. I could be tempted by them instead of ZU's. PM me if you don't want to publicly announce how much you have spent Bob |
