Improving Turning Circle
Which is the best way to improve the poor turning circle on the 110 CSW?

I'm led to believe the options are wheel spacers (seem expensive at around £200) or change the alloys for ZU or similar with bigger offset?

Any experiences folks? Andy

So with standard wheels and tyres, how many turns would be considered safe? And roughly what radial turning-circle distance reduction equates to a full turn? 2007 Defender 110

Daft question then, why set the stops that far out in the first place? I would have thought they would be set up to give maximum turning without rubbing Confused Andy

That is the million dollar question and I don't know the answer.

It would have been set at the factory to allow the wheels to turn but not go too far as I presume damage to the CV joints would occur at full lock +

The stops are there partly to restrict movement of the CV joint and prolong the life of the joint barings.
And at the same time prevent tyre rub.
