Finally finished off replacing all brake pipes with new copper ones and replaced the flexi pipes with new braided steel ones.
A few minor tweaks to the front flexi pipes as I wend for +2" inch extra for when I replace the springs with HD ones. So I used the plastic spring thing from the old flexi pipes and put it on the new ones. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Fitted Rammount Cupholders. I mounted the bases on the side of the cubby box with long extension arms. That should stop the kids whining about not having anywheree to put their Starbucks....

After finding the original OEM connectors for the radio, I got them plugged into the radio and and also re-wired the speakers into the original LR loom 1999 Defender TD5 110

Fear not - they are easy to relocate when in use. This is their not in use storage position. I also have window mounts that they can be relocated to..... 2013 Aintree Green 110 Station Wagon SX |

Nice job Jamie ( as usual It's what's under the skin that counts )
Although in the spirit of defender2 you should have sprayed them yellow or red |

Yes, in theory, but my 110 doesn't weigh anywhere near like what these brakes are designed for, and there's a couple of sticking pistons in them, so I thought i'd just rebuild some standard calipers (and I had a brand new set of vented discs) and swap the over.
I have some new seals, so I'll rebuild these salisbury brakes with them. Will probably sell them on; I have a second set of discs as well, so they'll be ideal for someone with a higher performance 90/110. I had these on my old 90 and they were awesome! especially with 35" tyres, no brake fade at all. |

Markus, is putting your high lift in that position legal in Germany? Best, Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Seems a very impractical position - not the easiest position to lift a jack on and off and can only end in tears when not if the bonnet and/or wing get gouged...

@eric
Hello, I carry the hi lift in a neoprene bag, the base plate and the top clamp aren't mounted. On the photo you can see the "big" hi lift. I only carry the hi lift for offroad-use and for advertising, not for the ice cream shop. There are other possibilities to carry a hi lift, in the car with universal-brackets, on our roof racks with especially brackets, ..... In Germany you can carry the hi lift on such a bracket, because it's freight. In the neoprene-cover it is protected. Greetings -Markus |
