Did battle with the 110 and the wiper spindles. Got them both replaced and all secured and ready to go.
Discovered that the spiral cable was slipping over the cogs. Got one modified but the one on the passenger side is playing silly . So back to it tomorrow. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

a perfect day? Sunday afternoon and rather than sit and do nothing, we decided to explore the local byways.... 14 miles in all, lots of horse riders about, all pleasant.... (but we did stop and turn the engine off to be courteous) some seriously tricky moments which would be almost impassable for a lone vehicle in bad weather.... all topped off by finding a secluded ancient oak glade by the side of the track... we left the landy and walked the track as it had a serious side gradient, but in doing so, we stumbled across a lone badger which ( being upwind ) was oblivious to our presence...... the next 30 minutes watching it dig/feed/scratch and sniff were unexpected..... final hill climb was time to stretch the family legs as per the picky.... oh we have sooooo missed defender ownership... cheers Frank

Well, a quiet half hour has just presented itself, so I've changed around the support bars on my side steps: Click image to enlarge They were, surprisingly, a bit of a sod to do as the angle of the chassis end brackets meant that the outer ends were slightly low when bolted up. A bit of brute force resolved the issue but it was almost as if they should have been the other way up... Still, they're on now and very solid Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing?
