This is just my personal view and experience.

I originally wanted to go with IRB, however i had a lot of trouble getting in touch with Ian before i bought his package. Therefore i decided against it. In the end i went with Pete at BAS, great service from the start, always quick to reply and always very helpful.

I have a full size intercooler, silicone intercooler pipes, De-cat, straight through mid section pipe, uprated turbo and one of Pete's tunes which closes the EGR. I have noticed around a 10C drop in temperature, increased MPG and better performance.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Mark

What Mark has here is a nice package without pushing the safety envelope of the car its self in a hot climate, it gives a nice liner gain in performance as well takes into consideration the climate its going to be used in. Much more than this I believe is pushing things close to the safety and reliability limits of the car.

Even just With a good intercooler and remap a very nice gain in power can be had which is all a lot of customers require to meet their driving needs.

We offer for remote customers a product that allows us to send you a retuned calibration by email, coupled with a little set up on a PC this tool makes retuning of remote cars possible without the need to send ecus arround the world for bench flashing

Of course this has a forum discounted price Smile. http://bellautoservices.co.uk/bas-remap-interface/. We also stock if you do require silicone hoses and performance intercoolers.

Pete

Thanks for the advice Pete, i've fired a PM across. 2011 - 110 - Double-cab pick-up

Well I must say BAS and IRB are on another level, it will be hard to choose between them. Still waiting on a reply from Alive.

I was wondering if there was a list of the forum sponsors which give a discount to users? 2011 - 110 - Double-cab pick-up

All the site sponsors are here, most from what I beleive do offer some sort of discount or package deal.

Just to correct Pete, not all the forum sponsors are on this list ('banners' cost extra Whistle ), however all the forum sponsors are here:

I've decided to go with irb.

I cant wait to see the difference. 450 Nm doesn't mean much to me, but I'm hoping at the first set of traffic lights I'll notice......

450Nm.... is 120Nm than you normally get in 4th gear Twisted Evil

With the standard torque limitation, you only see 330Nm in 4th.

450NM=25% increase in torque,....it'll very obviously mean something to you, when you "put the pedal to the metal".
Let us know your impressions please.
Cheers, Pickles.

Just back last night from the 444 mile drive to IRB developments. I cannot recommend these guys strongly enough.

Ada and Ian could not do enough to make our stay in Englandshire a treat. Thanks Ada for all you're help and taxi service.

I went for the 450 sport which meant nothing to me before i went…… how pleased am I. "Mandy the Landy" now keeps pulling past 85mph….on a private road obviously!

I had a great afternoon with them, talking through what I wanted from the upgrade and why they have picked each component for the package. This is no, bolt on a new intercooler and quickly flash the ecu type of reamap. Each component is carefully selected through hours of testing to get the package just right. The mechanical knowledge they have is awesome. true automotive engineers which shows from the professional backgrounds.

With Ian's knowledge he was able to tell me what other components I should be looking at in the future and where I can spend my money to get the maximum benefit.(Honest advice...no sales pitch) The goal posts changed a few times over the weekend with LED headlights, steering dampener and new bumper all added…… Not a problem for these guys…working into the early hours….

"Mandy the Landy" was ready next morning.. Andy, Ada and Ian you where all correct. The difference is amazing. Even my Dad noticed the difference.

Oh…. and those Mobile Centre LED headlights…..they are good….very good. Roll on the dark nights up in sunny Scotland!

Folks, don't waste time trawling through the forums on who should tune your defender…Like I did.... IRB are the guys for the job.

After my IRB visit, Mandy now looks the part, drives and part and illuminates the part.!

PS. Ian you will have to try harder to scare me in ben 10…..but I do look forward to it.

Thanks Richard
